BRIEF PROFILE
Dr.
Ranjit Singh Malhi is an internationally renowned consultant, trainer and a bestselling author in the areas of Total Quality Management, Management Development, Personal Development, Teaching and Learning, and Graduate Employability. Dr. Ranjit is the CEO and Principal Consultant of TQM Consultants Sdn. Bhd. and Self-Esteem Seminars Sdn. Bhd. He is also the Vice-President of the International Council for Self-Esteem.
Dr. Ranjit has contributed significantly towards new knowledge in the areas of personal quality, self-esteem, peak performance, management development, graduate employability and soft skills. He has formulated a practical model and blueprint for enhancing personal quality, developed the Empowering Cycle of High Self-Esteem which shows the reciprocal relationship between self-esteem and peak performance, and identified the competencies of Malaysian high-performance managers and most admired attributes of Malaysian leaders through a questionnaire involving 202 managers from 35 organizations. Dr. Ranjit is described in the website of the American-based National Association for Self-Esteem as one of “the most influential movers and shakers in the area of self-esteem.”
Dr. Ranjit has conducted more than 600 training programmes on management and personal development since 1990 in Asia, the Middle East and USA. Noted for his participatory, practical and motivating training sessions, Dr. Ranjit’s corporate clients include Media Prima Bhd.; University of Malaya;Malaysian National Reinsurance Bhd.; Sime Singapore Ltd.; Galfar Engineering & Contracting LLC, Oman; Nestle Malaysia Bhd.; Ministry of Development, Brunei Darussalam; Bahrain Petroleum Company; and Indiana University, USA.
Dr. Ranjit is the author of four bestsellers: Make Yourself Employable, Enhancing Managerial Performance, Enhancing Self-Esteem and Enhancing Personal Quality. The last book is currently being used as a textbook on personal development by Universiti Teknologi MARA. He has also published more than 150 articles on management and personal development, besides being a columnist for three of Malaysia’s leading newspapers.
Ranjit has a B.A. (Hons.) in History from University of Malaya, a Master of Public Administration degree from Syracuse University, USA and a Ph.D. in Organizational Behaviour from Warnborough College, Ireland.
